Regularly when I return to Chennai I mostly take the ECR route with the sirkazhi guy. So this time I took the bypass route. Usually the nannilam guy will depart at 09.00 pm from mayiladuthurai. But recently the nannilam slot changed nannilam and eravancherry even mayiladuthurai too. I waited till 09.30 pm , the nannilam guy did not come. So I decided to board with the airport rider of the mld depot. Then after sometimes the nannilam guy entered the mayiladuthurai bus stand. Then I immediately got down from the airport rider and boarded with the nannilam guy.
The exterior is reworked well. Looking also good. The interior also maintained very well , the roof and floors are in good condition. Some of the seat push backs only not working fine. Otherwise the seat was comfortable and the leg spacing is good.
The engine has good pickup with no noises, easily achieved the speed of 70 km/h without any hesitation. The driver is already a known friendly person, senior crew with brown uniform. The conductor is senior. Both were very kind towards the passengers.
The driver maintained the speed of 65 - 75 km/h in all the possible ways till the vikravandi tollgate. The bus when went on the patched roads rattling sounds from windows was a little high. But on the highways ride was smooth. On the highway he maintained 75 - 80 km/h continuously and topped 80+ km/h. The heavy rain started between the kutteripattu to Melmaruvathur. Due to heavy rain in some places rain drops leakage from the windows gaps. The fitting between the roof and windows must rework well. The driver Anna handling was fine in all the places. Even in the rain he handled it very well.
After long days the nannilam guy completed 5 hours travel between Mayiladuthurai and tambaram. I really wondered about this. Once all the road works completed between Mayiladuthurai to vikravandi the travel duration definitely would be reduced.
